ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

About the 1st International Conference on AI in Education

1st International Conference on AI in Education (ICAIED) will be held in London, United Kingdom, 19 - 21 March 2027. It is a hybrid conference: participants can attend in person in London or take part virtually from anywhere in the world.

Among AI in education conferences 2027, ICAIED is built around a specific problem. Schools and universities are adopting artificial intelligence faster than they can evaluate it. Generative tools are already in students' hands. Adaptive platforms are already routing learners through content. Automated systems are already scoring work. Meanwhile the research that would tell educators whether any of this improves learning — and for whom — is scattered across computer science, education research, psychology, and policy studies, rarely in the same room.

ICAIED puts those conversations in one room. The conference is deliberately cross-disciplinary and covers every level of education, from primary classrooms to doctoral supervision and workplace learning.

This is edition 1 of ICAIED 2027. That means a smaller, more focused programme, more time per presentation, and more direct access to the Scientific Committee and keynote speakers than a large established conference typically allows. It also means every claim on this website describes what we have actually committed to deliver: double-blind review by a named committee, an Abstract Book with an ISBN, and Proceedings with an ISSN and a Crossref DOI.

Presenters, listeners, and virtual participants are all welcome.

OUR VISION
A field where decisions about artificial intelligence in education are made on evidence rather than on vendor promises.
OUR MISSION
To give researchers and educators a credible, well-reviewed international platform where that evidence can be presented, challenged, and published.

Who ICAIED 2027 Is For

Researchers and academics in education, learning sciences, computer science, and related fields
Teachers, lecturers, and instructional designers applying AI tools in real learning environments
Doctoral and master's students presenting early findings and seeking feedback
Education policymakers and administrators responsible for institutional AI strategy
EdTech developers and industry practitioners working on learning technology
General attendees who want to follow developments without presenting

Academic Scope

ICAIED covers theoretical, empirical, methodological, and applied research on artificial intelligence in education. Interdisciplinary contributions are particularly welcome, as are negative results, replication studies, and critical analyses — work that is often hard to place at AI in education conferences focused on innovation alone.

Key areas include, but are not limited to:

Instructional design and pedagogy with AI
Adaptive learning, tutoring systems, and personalisation
Assessment, feedback, and academic integrity
Learning analytics, educational data mining, and measurement
AI literacy, teacher training, and professional development
Ethics, equity, bias, governance, and education policy

Submissions from any educational level and any national context are accepted. If your topic is related to the themes above but not explicitly listed, you are still encouraged to submit.

Our Commitment to Quality and Ethics

Academic credibility is the only thing that makes a conference worth attending, so ICAIED commits to the following in writing:

Double-blind peer review. Every abstract and full paper is reviewed by Scientific Committee members without knowledge of author identity.
Plagiarism screening. All manuscripts are checked with Crossref Similarity Check (iThenticate) before evaluation. Work identified as plagiarised is declined without review.
Transparent criteria. Submissions are assessed on relevance to the conference themes, methodological soundness, clarity, originality, ethical conduct, and academic contribution.
Inclusion. ICAIED welcomes participants regardless of nationality, career stage, institution type, or funding status, and provides virtual participation so that travel is not a barrier.

Who Organises ICAIED 2027

ICAIED 2027 is organised by an academic conference organiser founded in 2018, which has delivered more than 50 international conferences across education, social sciences, humanities, management and applied sciences. The publication workflow applied to ICAIED — double-blind review, iThenticate screening, Crossref DOI registration — is the same one used across those events.
